These are something of a rarity.

Recently a small box turned up containing unsold CDs from the original 2008 release in pristine condition. They're individually cellophane wrapped, in jewel case boxes with 4 page colour booklets. They're 11 years old, so the print on the CD disc itself is maybe a little faded, but they play perfectly. They still look good and the cover photography (Reg) and layout (Paul) is just gorgeous.

about

Originally released in 2008 as a limited edition CD, this contains atmospheric soundscapes and songs composed for the Space Age exhibition at Weston Park museum in Sheffield.

It's music for Sputnik, 1950s sci-fi movies or forgotten futuristic 1960s TV shows such as Space Patrol, Tomorrow's World and so on. These were very optimistic visions of a future, where we would be living on the moon with robots doing all the work while we enjoyed endless leisure.

Also contains Jodrell Bank, a track inspired by the Lovell radio telescope in the north west of England. Not enough songs get written about radio telescopes.
